TRANSPARENCY
Your data & personal access
Inkmancy is an independent project for invited members. The application does not use analytics cookies, advertising trackers or telemetry.
Your invitation
The project administrator creates a separate access code for each invited person. The server stores a chosen name or label, creation date, role, access status and a cryptographic hash of the access code. The code itself is not stored there as plain text. No email address or guild account is required.
When you sign in, your browser stores a necessary session cookie for up to 30 days. JavaScript cannot access this cookie. Signing out removes it. Revoked access codes cannot be used for new downloads; files already downloaded remain available. To request a new code or removal of your access, contact the person who invited you.
Your language preference
When you choose Deutsch or English, the website remembers your choice in a preference cookie for up to one year. The cookie contains only the language, not an access code or tracking identifier. Without a saved choice, the website uses your browser's preferred German or English language; otherwise, it defaults to German. You can change the language at any time or clear the cookie in your browser. Translations are provided by this website and are not sent to an external translation service.
When you visit the website
Requests pass through Cloudflare to the hosting server. This involves processing connection data needed to deliver the service, such as your IP address, the requested path and the time of the request. The Inkmancy application server does not keep an HTTP access log. IP addresses are held briefly in memory to limit sign-in attempts. Cloudflare may process connection and security data under its own terms.

In the Windows client
The client downloads the catalog and selected packages from interfaceschmiede.inkmancy.de. Your selected WoW path, settings and backups stay on your computer. WoW account data, character data and SavedVariables are not uploaded. The program reads the names of running processes to postpone updates while you are playing.
Your access code is sent over HTTPS for authentication and stored locally using Windows DPAPI encryption. Automatic checks are optional and only run while the client is open. After closing the client, you can remove local settings and backups from %LOCALAPPDATA%\Inkmancy. Doing so deletes those backups and settings.
